I recently aquired a Mayflower O2+ODAC (rev B) which has a mini usb input socket. I don't really want to use this with a multi function device like a PC or laptop. So I have several questions:
1. must the usb input be powered like on a computer
2. can a portable media player be connected
3. can the O2+ODAC be modified to allow optical input
4. I own a Cambridge Audio ID100 dock, could this feed a digital signal to the device
