Hello,

We are well into 2006 and I find it curious that neither of these players (NW-A608, NW-A3000) is offered by Sony USA. Newer models coming still? Too much competition/price wars? The "Bean" is on the way out. Even the old Sony HD players have disappeared from the site.

Sony have been on a maximum 6 month release schedule for MP3/Atrac HD DAPs since the HD1

I think the 4 month break between the HD5 and "walkman" series is the smallest yet

I do notice Sony seem to like the Jap + UK market more than US?

The NW-A608 is available up here in Canada. Can't imagine why it would be here up here earlier than the States.

From what I recall, Sony won't be releasing these models to the US until they improve the SonicStage/Connect software. Take that with a grain of salt though.

One way they can improve Sonicstage: Eliminate it entirely. Let us use drag and drop and give us good mp3 playback on the MD units.

Even though MD is 'dieing'...they can revive it by giving us what we want to see

I could import it for you, but you'd have to pay for everything... which leads to a LOT of $$$.

Hmmmm, seems like the A3000 is available up here in Canada too. Very strange, considering Canada almost always lag behinds the US when it comes to the release to new products.
