After following everyone's advice, I focussed on mainly enjoying the listening of headphones instead of buying (I did buy a set of ATH-ONTO's for a friend, and Maxell sound jewel earbuds).
Yodobashi Akihabara was amazing. I got to try a lot of Audio Technica's, Beyer Dynamics, some Grado's, AKG, JVC, Denons, etc.
I particularly fell in love with the ESW9's (like I thought I would).
Surprisingly (to me), I also really liked the Ultrasones.
Would anyone care to chime up on the unamped capabilities of the uf-30 vs esw9, or any other alternative cans that sound good unamped?
