Hello all,

I currently own a creative X-fi HD USB connected to a Senn HD555 + complete open mod (love it

). Is the NuForce Icon uDAC-2 an upgrade? I couldn't find many comparisons with the Creative X-fi HD as it's a relatively new DAC (It's the new one with 1/4" jacks http://us.store.creative.com/Sound-Blaster-XFi-HD/M/B004275EO4.htm ).

Has anyone used both of them?

im interested to know is as well. i was just wandering around frys and noticed the creative x-fi hd and it seems pretty good for what it has at that price.

I haven't used the spdif, only the 1/4" jacks. The sound quality is great. I can't tell the difference between the xfi hd usb and my xonar ST. The volume knob has some backlash but apart from that, it's a solid product. I bought a pelican case to fit both my hd555 and xfi to take with me to work.
