I'm thinking of purchasing a new amp to replace my Fiio E5 which I have been using for a year and I have narrowed my list down to these two choice based on price and portability (commuting).

My source is a 2G iPod Touch with a iBasso CB03 LOI and my main headphones are the Senn IE8 and the UE Super Fi Pro 5.

Could anyone tell me which amp may complement or improve the IE8's sound signature and how much there may be a difference from the E5.

i had the same dilema and i went with the icon. it goes nicely with the IE8, very nicely

but i dont have the T4 so i cant say for certain but i think it would make for a too warm combo

I have the IE8 and T4. I am sure on time atm and will be busy till tomorrow. I will give a proper listen to the combo then and let ya know. But going from memory, I believe the IE8 did not benefit too greatly from it.
