I have a Lian Li PC-V2100 case and im upgrading my computer. However Im not quite sure if it will fit the asus 2 rampage extreme MB i will be buying.

GideonTech.com Case Modification - Lian Li PC-V2100 Full Tower

In this review it lists: EXT ATX M/B (max size: 12"x13")

the specs of the mb is:
ATX Form Factor
12 inch x 10.6 inch ( 30.5 cm x 26.9 cm )
* One inch greater than standard ATX form factor

So my question is, how do I make sure the 12" spec of my casing really fits the 12" length of the motherboard? It look like its gonna be an extremely tight fit and I do not wanna buy a motherboard that will not fit my casing.

The other question is screw hole placements in the casing for securing the MB. Did MB evolve over the years to the point that the screw holes of the casing are not in the right position to hold my new MB?

Most cases, unless they are purpose-made for a particular MB, will have holes for several different form factors.

I would say, just from looking at what you listed, that you are golden.

Many MBs are a tight squeeze, but fit. That's all that matters.

Order from someplace with a decent return policy if you truly are worried, or do some Googling for your case model, and see if someone else has put this MB in it.

ATX motherboards are a standard size. It would definately fit, even in a (much) smaller case.

It's labeled ATX form factor so any ATX motherboard will fit unless something went wrong during the manufacturing process. Neat case, especially the wheels.
