hi. ....welp, i was listening to track 1 on my k1000's when i heard this strange staticky sound around 1:10-1:20min. it sounds like soft clipping to me. well, then i tried it on my mg head/hd600 and heard same thing. then i tried a mdr7506 straight into the cd player and same thing. then, thinking my cd player might be bad, i tried a slimx + mdr888, and i didn't hear it... but then i tried the 7506 with the slimx, and it was there again.

but the noise was most clear with the k1000.

anyone hear it? or is it just me?

(norah jones.... she only has 1 cd right?)

jude, so you heard it too?-------i'm getting worried cause if i blew a transducer in the k1000, i'd be so screwed......... or if the CD player's messed up...... or or or........ you know what i mean? heh he.........

just making sure--so, you heard it too? (it should be at position 1:10-1:20 when she started wailing...)

Take off your panic hat. I know exactly what you are talking about - I noticed it on my Ety's. Sounds like the microphone recording the piano is distorting.

ha ha...... heh he... i tend to get excited when things here don't go right. ..........so many things break down here....

but anyway, you would expect a high-exposure CD like Norah Jones to be perfect. didn't the producer for her CD get a grammy too, specifically for his work on this CD?---the cd should have been perfect. very strange.

oh well.

alright. thanks guys.

(incidentally, ....i heard the noise the most on the k1000's. then the hd600s, then the 7506. couldn't really heard it on the mdr888's........ i guess this would say that the "k1000's" are quite revealing)

Vertigo-1 and I had the same discussion on this. I thought I would lose it with the LP, but it's still there. I think I found three other places where the sound clipped on the CD. Sorry guys

Then again, it's still a great album

That hissing on the fith track (come away with me) that is suppost to be there right? That's an instrument right? Or is it something on the CD and should I go back to the store?

. I find this track distorts in other places on crappy phones too. But in regards to the 1:10-1:20 distortion... anyone else find it sounds its coming from the upper part of left channel?

Yeah, its there. A very faint resonance in the left channel. It does sound like a mic problem.

Hmm... I can hear pops and clicks through the entire track.
