Now I see what all this fuzz is about. I thought this was some kind of a secret society and required a secret handshake. From the dark end of the street to the fuzzy side of the road, I'm glad the HD 650 has an approved fuzzy alignment.

However, I would disagree that any headphone is truly fuzz-free (not even the HP-1000) as it all depends on your baseline fuzzer. Since human hearing works by comparing the current sound to a previously heard sound, which has become the baseline of reference, that is due to sensory evaluation being a relative evaluation (comparison against previous stimulus and most common stimulus), no one is truyle fuzz-free. From the Qualiatan point of view, everybody is just a rotten fuzzer, even the willing but still inexperienced counts and lords-in-learning. Add to that that the HP-1000 is probably not difuzz-field equalised (as opposed to the HD 650), it becomes even more difficult to talk about true fuzz-austereness. In fact, to make things even more confuzzing there might be observable global fuzz trends with Europeans being more used to the difuzzed Senns and Beyers. Anyway, what the fuzz am I talking about.

I think it should be noted in passing here that the very human ear has a SUBSTANTIAL fuzz factor and is liable to overwelm the fuzziness of the defuzzified fuzzy antimaster H-1000..

Oh certainly, but it should also be mentioned that difference in hearing mostly accounts for differing fuzziness above 1-2 KHz, which admittingly is still a lot to fuzz about.

What(uzz)? I had to read it 3x, but I think I got it. At least I have the FOTM, and loooooooooooove the fuzz.

Not sure the application of Fuzzy Logic in this context is an appropriate methodology given the variables outlined by the OP. The fuzz factor introduced by the individual auditory apparatus must be seen as less a data point than as a continuuum representing multiple inputs that will bias any subjective evaluation. I assume, for the sake of discussion, that you're not attempting to advance the cited observation as an objective conclusion based on reproducible testing.

Regards.

I remember seeing a show years ago about a ship were these fuzzy creatures started filling up the ship and the Captain had to figure a way to get rid of the fuzzies. I don't remember how he got rid of them. Trouble with..
