So I recently bought some mullard ef92s that were pulled from old military stuff. I was disappointed at first because honestly they sounded like crap, but I stuck with it hoping they weren't burned in...and they weren't, now they're a completely different/better sound. Anyway, what exactly did the military USE these types of tubes for? I, at first, assumed it was for radios....but is that it? I don't know if there are any war vets here. :-\

I read somewhere that The Russian MIG fighter jet still uses tubes somewhere in the electronics! Huck
