I have been researching for days and I'm not able to find enough info about non-isolating earbuds, or the info I find is very old.

The Head-fi forums have been very useful, I found that apparently the Yuin PK3 and MrZ Tomahawk are the closest thing to what I need.

Basically, I would like to find a pair of headphones that allow me to hear my surroundings.

I used to have the Bose IE, and I really liked the lack of isolation on these, even used to ride bike around town being able to hear traffic.

So, I hope someone could point me in the right direction and/or help me decide between the two earbuds I mentioned above.

Thanks.

Have not heard the KSC75 but folks always talk well of them. I somewhat remember them being someone’s favorite headphone ever.

But there are issues with the Mr Zs......I have seen used ones for sale with the clear cables going green. Also I do like them but in the end found the sound slightly too distant or missing a frequency I wanted. Though they are made well, and you could change out the cable on the Ting. There is a way to unscrew the base where the cable enters getting access to the point the cables are joined.

Ahh .. that's very good to know, I had a similar issue with the Bose IE's the cables used to wear in a weirdly sticky way and falling apart after that. Well, I think that brings me closer to the Yuin or the KSC75.

I had Bose products, both the IEMs and On-Ears. They really suffer from build quality. Due to there signature they have never been regarded well here, even though many transducers at Head-Fi now emulate their signature. You can take stuff back to Bose and they will give you new products for a reduced charge. I did that with my On-Ears........but they still only lasted a couple months after. Bose is popular due to marketing.
