Non-conductive material as amplifier's casing

Hi,

I wonder if it is worth using non-conductive material like wood or plastic for amplifier's casing. Will shielding be an issue? I do see wood is sometimes used around here.

Why didn't I think of that, I was thinking along the line of aluminum foil.

So are these fabric/paper conductive and can be grounded just like a metal case?
