Hi

what woiuld cause my SP Extreme Platinum to make noise only with the GS'1000's? With all my other phones it's dead silent at all levels of volume with no music playing?

The fact that the GS-1000 retrieves more detail.

You probably have tube hiss going on....

What are your "other" headphones? I'd guess High Impedance ones?

Hi thanks for the input

I tried changing the single tube, and that didn't help, Its not really a hiss or a humm its sort of both together. Its pretty load you can hear it in lulls in the music. I didn't have the problem with my first pair of GS's. The first pair was defective and was returned. I am not saying it's the phones as far as I know, it might also be the amp?

Hey Laine

I had taken the pads off and had the drivers real close to my ears and I guess that's why I heard it so much, With pads back on it's quiet, weird ha.
