Hello everyone, I am new to this site but followed some topics and visited for many times to get some info whenever I need. You guys are doing very well :) I have a Sennheiser PXC 450 (with active noise cancelling) that is connected to my Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro. While on the boat with engines roaring, I can get a so-so sound level and quality if I do some little eq boosting on my sound card. Is it a good idea to connect a headphone amplifier to my sound card for making some improvements, or should i not connect any amplifier to my active noise cancelling pairs? I read this amazing review http://www.head-fi.org/products/fiio-a1-micro-headphone-amplifier/reviews/15109 and wanted to ask, would you recommend me anything like this? Thank you.
