Are there any Noise Canceling Headphones in the Sub-$150 Dollar Range which are better than the Bose QC3 and QC15?
 
I don't think spending $300+ for solely noise-canceling is worth the investment.  
 
Please let me know your recommendations.  Thanks

If you need noise cancelling, it is worth it.

However, if you just want some isolation, there are plenty of closed-back headphones to choose from.

I'm with superjawes.  Noise canceling is complicated circuitry and really only effective for consistent noise - like engines..  Using them in a private plane is important as you can still communicate and not drive yourself crazy with engine/wind noise.
 
Also, as superjawes said, if you want isolation, consider an in ear device (http://www.head-fi.org/a/basic-guide-to-in-ear-canalphones).  You'll get a quieter experience and probably better audio quality for < $150.  I've been wanting a set of RE-400's pretty bad.  At only $100 they look like the best option going.
