Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I’m pretty amazed at what my original Savants can do for bass with only 2 BAs as well.

Hence the name "Savant" was applied.

It definitely performs better than expected.

To the level, I frequently pull them out of my ears look at them in wonderment.

Good Catch

There will also be M3 available as well

We interrupt your regularly scheduled head-fi for some petrolhead talk. Nice E36. I'm partial to the E46 and E90 though... Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I have been checking the website every hour and will continue to do so, in hopes of finding some Wizard made M3's . . .I can't wait to get some of those in my ears!

I had a preconceived notion, based on the Katanas and the Encores, that the K10 would be a "lesser" iem but to be honest I think I like the K10s even more than my memory of either the Katana and the Encore. I can understand what those changed and would still call them “better” particularly in their soundstage but I am enjoying the K10s as much as I enjoyed those two.

I like to consult Crinacle's list and find it an invaluable resource but have learned that I hear and rate iems differently than he does as I prefer some lower on the list to some higher..
This is one case where his description "Very safe tuning, almost to the point of boredom. Does nothing wrong but nothing right either"... is not at all my experience. I am far from bored and to me it seems that they do most everything right.

These are really great sounding iems.

I always talk about how I still really enjoy listening to my custom K10s. The sound sig and design of these are a classic, and they still sound great. I have the A18s now and those things are godly...but it's years-later technology. Noble also has their own new stuff now, too.

As for using language like this in a review to describe the K10 (or anything, really): "Very safe tuning, almost to the point of boredom. Does nothing wrong but nothing right either," it is simply rude and unhelpful. It tells you virtually nothing about the actual device, and far more about the character of the writer.

Enjoy the new K10 man!

Thanks!

I just tried a different cable but it deafened the sparkle. I am still interested to know if anyone has tried one of the upgrade cables on Noble’s site, particularly the Crystal Lily.

Thanks for the tip! I was not aware of them, and if I can't hold out, I might go that route. However, I am really hoping to be able to pick out the exact one I want from the pics on the Noble website, once they are there.

Do note that that is in $cdn, so much cheaper in usd.

I'm finishing up some today. I will snap some photos, post them and hopefully you like a set.
