Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

To be honest it seems to be luck of the draw depending on which customs inspector you get. I have had it where me and a friend ordered the same mic from the USA and mine got stuck in customs and needed a £50 fee after waiting 2 weeks and he had his in less than a week with no customs fees at all lol...

I must be on the watchlist then! pmsl. Always get charged VAT, odd time import duty if its applicable, Parcelforce or Royal Mail want £13 or £8 for expediting it.
Still, I can't help but buy from USA as they sure make better products for what I want than I can get here.

Thanks to the Black Friday sales, I got myself a pair of the K10 Encores from Audio Sanctuary!

I chose the Standard International Shipping option.  Does anyone know the chances of it being picked up by customs in Australia?  I think the courier is likely to be by Royal Mail.  If it ends up being held at customs, would I get notified on import duties?  I've never purchased anything of value overseas, so I've never been pinged for duties before.

Cheers

Ha! Thanks for the offer Layman1. I think fees here in Ireland are around 380 euro, so wanted to double check that and get people's opinion. Much prefer the idea of £20 odd

I don't know how UK handles things, but in Finland you get hit with extra 24% VAT when you order something outside EU.

Edit: I just noticed you mentioned Ireland, sorry.

Very nice Doc, sending good Karma and luck your way for an awesome fit. I know about your struggles with them in the past.

Thanks, WataChamp. It's the only TOTL CIEM I couldn't own because the company couldn't make it for me. And I own/have owned the notoriously difficult S.E 5way Ult and 14 driver EE Zeus.

@FullCircIe I hope you do not mind if I ask a technical question. The reason that as given the last time around was that even though my ear canals were large enough, my conches were small to accommodate a K10 CIEM. In such cases, can't the shell be made to protrude a bit and accommodate the drivers nonetheless?

If you make it clear to the labs that you don't mind a bulbous fit/look, I think your odds are improved.

Just ordered the K10E Prestige. I hope they can fit one in my ears this time.

As a Prestige reject myself, I feel your pain.

You are a determined fellow for sure. K10 (og) has 10 drivers, the Kaiser Encore has 10 drivers. It doesnt hurt to try......

Well that depends on how hard he tries to ram them in there, doc

Delivery! Posssstttttmannnnnnnn!
Yeah! LOL.
Encore; iPhone; Mojo; mixture of hi-res and streamed songs.
Encore's in ear now, trying different tips (when I can get them on the bloody stems. Grrr). Saw a tip from one of the Noble guys earlier on this thread about folding back the mushroom part and pushing the stem on then, so thanks for that! That works a treat.
Currently on middle Red cored tips.
Jazz at The Pawnshop - Take Five. Incredible resolution and details from them.
Holy amazeballs! That's all I can say for now. My head is getting used to the fit and the sounds.
Soundstage is crazy good. The sound is good. Need time to get used to them now.
crap these are good. I am track hopping like mad listening to all my favourite songs! LOL.

EDIT when I hear something new!: Clarity. Don't know how to explain what I am hearing, but what I am feeling, wow. Piano Guys are just blowing me away through Encore.
Now using the bucket sized Blue cored tips. Like stuffing a cushion in my ear!

Oh I am liking these! I am still working on the best fit of tips. I am loving the extra details that I can hear, not to mention some nice bass too. My head is obviously telling me I should have had a loan and bought some customs, but alas, I dunno. lol. It's a shame I am a champion procrastinator!

Does anyone have good pics of the blue carbon glass prestige?

Nice choice

I don't think a blue carbon glass Prestige has been done. . Blue carbon glass face plates have been done

Black mixed with gold or silver carbon glass Prestige has been done and the look books has photos of those

Use the filter features to speed up ur search
