LOL. One of the better ones so far. :D

Just wondering something folks - that serial number at the back of the K10 (NK10..) refers to the total number of custom K10 units sold, or a combination of custom and universal models sold and/or produced respectively?

Oh and, brilliant design, as always!

Hi there, we really can't openly talk about the number of units sold etc etc.... So we really can't answer your question The reasons for this are internal business matters.... But thanks for asking

Cheers

would anyone be able to help me with a comparison? I am looking at the Noble 3, and noticed it has a slightly V shaped sound signature which is what I like. How present is the low end? I want to compare these to the Shure SE535s as they are in the same price range and both triple armature drivers.

Thanks!

The Shure is mid-centric, not V-shaped. Problem solved!

I wouldn't call the N3 "slightly V shaped"  the Savant would probably fit that discription better.  (although I consider the Savant to be "natural" or "balanced" more so, as the V shape doesn't leap out at me)

The N3 would be more for someone that likes a good helping of bass and isn't looking for breath taking vocals etc etc.

At this point, you guys are literally crafting the stuff dreams are made of. Sound aside, incredible artistic vision.

The hacky Borscht Belt jokes that continue to taint this thread (unoriginal and unimaginative, the comedic equivalent of Geek Verbs) are really the antithesis of everything Noble stands for. Thank him for bringing you back to reality.

Na, Dr. M is pretty down to earth and comes up with excellent, bring smiles to the face stuff. As well as serious pieces of audio sophistication.

I wouldn't consider the nad balanced

It's fairly balanced if you use the new Sean Olive curve (based off a set of balanced speakers in a well treated room).

Here's a set of HP50 measurements based on the new curve.

It all depends on whether you think the old or new curve is truly balanced (HD800 is close to the old curve, HP50 is close to the new curve). Tyll has some awesome writeups on the Sean Olive/Harman Research curve. Very interesting stuff if you haven't read it already.

I wasn't referring to Dr. Moulton. However, if a certain attention-seeking member simply cannot contain himself and insists telling jokes, he should have the courtesy to write his own material instead of copying/pasting ones that are 50 years old. Better yet, start the Watagump Comedy Club Thread in the member's lounge.

More people like my jokes then do not. But since you have a stick so far up your butt, you can be a hand puppet. I will stop doing them. It just amazes me that people will whine because someone wants to bring some fun and smiles to a thread.

How about a compromise, a joke a week rather than daily? I'm not one for being overly reserved, but like all things, a balance should be mmaintained

Just my opinion

Its fine John, you cant please everyone. I knew going in it was a risk since its an off topic thing, some people are just idiots and you cant change them. I deal with people like that in business all the time.
