BTS will solve that problem for you.

True, and I have at BTS, but what I don't have (yet) is a DAP with Bluetooth. I generally don't use my iPhone for music as not to eat up the memory and battery. Cheers

Yeah the BTS is on sale now at only 599!

...with a complimentary pair of "the most subjectively balanced in-ear monitor Dr. John has designed" aka the Noble Savant!

I just ordered mine! Grab it before it's gone!

This is an honest question.  No agenda....

What sonic trade-offs do you make when you go BTS?  I like convenience, but prefer sonic fidelity the most.  I would rather deal with a wire than trade in sound quality.  (Ak240-> HUGO)

Scott, what DAPs do you find suitable with the K10 comes with bluetooth?

I'm eyeing on some of them, and with the form factor considered I can only find a few.

I'm awaiting a Geek Wave Signature, but that's not for sale yet, in crowd-funding/crowd-designing.

Others will chime in with more input but the current DAP's I know of with BT built in are the Astell & Kern models, the Sony ZX2 and A17 and the iPod Nano and Touch.

Cheers

BTS is tops in convenience and ease of use, but you do lose some SQ. How much seems to vary by player, distance between the units and of course individual user experiences.

So for critical listening go cabled. For convenience go BTS.

Im stuck between pre-ordering the savant, or just buying the se846!! somebody help...

Well IMHO, it depends on 2 things:

1. If you can find some store near your location for you to audition the SE846 and you liked the sound, it would be the safer choice.

2. The resale value of these buds. If the resell price of Noble products is good around your area and you like the sound of the K10, the Savant might worth the plunge.

Of all the ToTL universal IEMs I auditioned, I think SE846 is one of the best considering durability, ergonomics, and sound (in white tube), but in the end, after ordered my custom K10,
I just can't resist to temptation and preordered the Savant...

I'm assuming there's only one choice either way? You might not be able to test the Savant where you are, but at least you'll know if the SE846 is for you by auditioning it first. I know it's hard to resist the temptation (I've got 2 IEMs incoming this month, so yes, I know

), but it might be better to go with a safe choice.

On the other hand, just go for both if it's an option!
