Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Initial report on the Savant Prestige:

These are the things I notice vs. K10 as of 10 hours burn in, I am not considering this a review.

1. much less bass response
2. wider soundstage (stock cable)
3. harsher highs, but not as harsh as the 4S. Somehow the Savant reminds me of a refined Noble 4S.
4. Sounds amazing with metal...
5. Still above everything, it retains Noble mids.

Thanks for the impressions, V0!

Btw, regarding the soundstage, how much bigger is the Savant's? Is it noticeably wider, with the same depth and height, or is the variance between the 2 something that needs to be carefully discerned?

Taken from a Google search:

For the uninitiated, the expression “to open a can of worms” means to attempt to solve one problem, or to do something, that creates a whole litany of other problems that were not there in the first place.

and the lesser, but cooler thing to say "open up a can of whoopass". Used in it's proper context:

"you touched my K10s so I'm gonna open up a can of whoopass on you!"

I can say that it feels bigger, maybe since the bass is not as overpowering. It feels more airy than the K10. its pretty noticable.

If you're interested in knowing, the iPhone's bluetooth signal to the BTS is pretty good to very good, but the AK100's Bluetooth signal to the BTS is much better. My favourite player, the iPod nano 7G's bluetooth signal to the BTS is average to poor for distortion but gets very good dynamic range and noise scores.

I've documented them in this post about Bluetooth signal quality between devices.

I had poor results with the AK120 II and AK240 bluetooth to BTS.  The Sony A17 was excellent.

I definitely agree with the k10s ability to scale! While I am plenty happy with the k10 straight out of theiPhone 6plus, it does seem to reach another level with the iFi micro iDSD. Even further, it has allowed me to detect nuances of different sources more easily.
Basically, I find myself thinking: "Ohhhh, so THIS is what TOTL is like!"

Now, that's something I'd love to hear. The K10's soundstage is already pretty impressive in its own right, but the Savant seems to have taken it to higher levels. Is it wide and deep like the Roxanne and/or Layla?

Looks like another one of those times, eh, Noble bros?
