New Noble model? I haven't seen anyone else mention this. Noble Savant. Interesting. Any more info on this Dr. Moulton?
Looks like the folks in Japan are jumping ahead. (there is a large show in a few days so they are probably attempting to stir some intrigue)
Yes, it is true, there is a new product fresh out of the Skunk Works department, appropriately named the "Savant." It carries that name as it is (in my opinion an
expert at what it does, it is the most subjectively balanced IEM I have ever designed. It is not sterile, it is not analytical, it is balanced.... great highs and great lows.
Those that have heard it, are calling it a "Baby K10" while I wouldn't say the same, it does share some of the K10 traits, as it does play a lot of genres very well.
It isn't a K10 replacement nor is it a K10 substitute, it is a K10 alternative and at a lower price point.
The lows are more robust than the N4, but a touch less prominent than the K10. I'd venture to say that the Savant would make a great IEM for recordings/mixing etc.
As usual, we will not go in depth about the internal design, but this much I will say.... this particular IEM does not use any TWFK(s) within the design. The bass driver is not a "re purposed" hearing aid driver, but is a driver specifically developed for music.
Japan will have Savant Universals in stock within hours and may have them in stock now, and is apparently offering the Prestige Savant now. Thailand will also have them in stock very soon. Noble (direct) currently does not have any in stock as Japan purchased our entire inventory. We will have a pre-order opportunity for direct customers as well, and the details regarding that will be on the website soon.
Review Savants have been sent out and we will be sending more as stock is replinished.
The Savant will be offered in
1) Standard Universal format (black shell, Rose Gold bolts) the first Production run will carry the "Wizard"Signature & at this time we are not sure if subsequent production runs will carry the Wizard signature.
2) Offered in Prestige format
(no standard CIEM format will be offered)
Brannan will give further details when he wakes up.
