Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

  1. mvvRAZ
For classical music my go to is the U18t for now... FiR audio did an upgrade and reshell on my A18t, and as a result of the changes in internal wiring they got an elevated treble response, getting them back today - might be absolutely amazing for violins etc

The Katana is an excellent all rounder, and even more so at its price point - what I most love on it are female vocals, they sound absolutely insane

Regarding the Noble product line up:

Honestly you guys crack me up. There is an internal debate at Noble about the product line...

I want to take a machete to the product menu....

Others just shrug their shoulders and say...

"People keep buying them.... so John... you have to keep making them."

Other issues are we have new dealers coming on board, it would be rude to have them buy up demos and then we turn around and obsolete their minty fresh demos a few weeks latter.

We are always going to have new dealers, so eventually this "can kicking" has to stop.

That being said, the ER4P is still in production, and that iem is around 20 years old

It pleases me to see positive statements about the Savant II, and I agree it covers so many genres well, it makes other products redundant.

Keep the faith, as we have more products and ancillary products in the works.

Business 101, if it doesn't sell it needs to go bye bye. I even gave my 2 cents talking with Jim, nothing under $599, its Noble, its an upscale brand.

I have fallen down the K-10 Encore rabbit-hole and can’t even see daylight anymore.

Joining the Encore as 4.4mm balanced with the Han Sound Audio Zen 4 wire OCC litz copper cable terminated Furutech 4.4mm. Hooked up to the Sony WM-1Z.......it’s all I have been listening to for two weeks. After getting the correct tips, it seems I now fully comprehend the Encore? I’ve now been going back and listening to all my favorite music over the last 20 years! The Encore does everything! Everything!

I can’t believe how good this IEM is? There is this mesmerizing metal guitar warmth that is both smooth and exciting. If I appear missing on Head-Fi........it’s because I solved the riddle......?.....Noble Audio solved the riddle!

    And for another trick....

    Step on them

No seriously, there are not many IEMs built today that will handle the kinda physical forces the K10, Encore and Katan universals can handle.

They will not come out scratch free...

We had one set of K10 aluminum gold get ran over by a car. They certainly didnt look pretty... the cable was ripped to pieces, looked like a lawnmower ran over it.

That being said, the IEMs still worked.

But water will destroy them... so be careful about that.

Just want to add my praise for the Noble (aka Meet The Moultons) stand at Canjam London. Their warmth, friendliness & enthusiasm was a marked contrast to the certain person who helmed the stand a few years back. He's now left Noble I believe, but he looked as if his b---s were in a vice & like he wished he was absolutely anywhere else.

I was pleased that comparing my Encore to the Katana & Khan didn't leave me feeling I'm missing out on the new flagship at all. If anything, I found myself thinking maybe I should've gone for the Katana. Completely forgot about the Savant II so didn't listen to it. Idiot.

Is that a challenge to break a Noble product? Send them over, I will win.

Funny you mention the person a few years ago wanted to be anywhere else. That exact opinion was was I was hearing from many people when I got back to doing shows for Noble.

Amazing the Katana is getting new found love. It is one of my favorites, greatly due to its form factor, the size and weight gives a more portable experience.

Then there is the sound, polite, a bit on the analytical side, but the bass digs surprisingly low.

It is also my wife's favorite as well.

Splitting hairs of course, but I'd substitute 'controlled' for polite. The "a bit'" analytical is what makes them so good - in that they don't completely sacrifice that elusive 'musicality' on the altar of some brutal, technical dissection.

They're a class act for sure.

The Katana Black on Black short run was a fun project.

If we could committment of at least 10 sets, I'd be willing to do that run again

But what about the Khan? Is it bombproof as well? :)
