Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

  1. Pepito
So the guy that hangs out at your booth during trade shows can say whatever he wants. Cool. Are you really trying to take the high road and drop free speech memes??? This isn't a matter of free speech, Wata can say whatever he wants, but Noble will let him keep going and even defend him, because it's the Noble circlejerk.

Your responses on head-fi speak volumes. Selling my K10's and never buying another Noble product.

I'm not sure if you understand head fi rules, but Wata is not an employee of Noble. If he was then he would have MOT status and I would have some control over statements made by Wata.

But he isn"t under my employ, he is a person willing to volunteer his time to help out those interested in Noble products without any compensation.

A big thanks to Wata for doing that and to anyone else that helps out as well. Help at any level is appreciated.

I have no more authority over him than I do you. I just hope that those that have Noble products can be noble as well. The definition of what noble is may vary from person to person... but I hope ultimately we can get along.

I will be at the Japan show on the 27th and 28th, if anyone wants to come by and chit chat please do. The Khan will be there and possibly a skunkworks product as well.

Other Noble folks will be there as well, Jim (my brother) his wife and my wife.

We will have some of her art work to show as well.

I've just joined the Noble Audio community with a brand new K10U - just wanted to see if anyone has opinions that the stock cable should be upgraded ASAP?

  4. krismusic Contributor
No. Just enjoy the damn things!

    Well

I'll offer u the internal specs

The standard cable is a 4 core spc tinsel wire, with enough kevlar woven into the cable to yield a pull strength of 150lbs

This is not to say it is the best cable available, the specs are only offered to serve as a reference

Oh wow okay that speaks volumes.. It is just that I had an alo cable replace my stock SE846 cable that I had before and it was a massive change!

If you want to try an upgraded cable, Noble now offers some very nice Wagnus options on their site. Cables making a difference varies widely from person to person, they sure do make everything look better IMHO.

I'll have to try... It's almost a disease!

  9. Nephorsis
I'll certainly check it out.. Was wondering if anyone here has had experience with 2-pin to MMCX adaptors?

  10. Watagump

I have not, but I have spoken with folks who have had issues with MMCX also. Nothing is perfect.

  11. Nephorsis
Hmm I'm only considering to see if I could use these with my old Alo cables with MMCX connectors - with my K10U

  12. Watagump

I figured as much, I have never had an issue with cable swapping of a Noble product, of course YMMV.

  13. BananaOoyoo
I'm not a big fan of the adaptors (some of the stores near me have them) - they just make everything bulkier and look weirder.

  14. Watagump

It might even make the connection weaker in terms of durability, but that's just based on how some of them look. If people must try different cables, do it the right way, better safe than sorry.
