Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

If the material actually "melted" then the temperatures for that to happen would be in the 150ºC region, surely? I'd have thought that would have been noticeable while you were wearing them?

Pretty sure that isnt a Noble cable.

Regardless, if socket issues do arise generally speaking we take care of the issue if we feel they have been subjected to reasonable use.

An example of unreasonable would be if the shell walls are cracked due to an extreme amount of force applied while trying to insert a 3rd party cable.

I think the person in the first picture is obviously using an aftermarket cable.
The person in the second picture just randomly had the right unit detach from the cable, and when he checked, saw that the connector was in that state.

(The pictures are from two different Noble Khans - one had the issue with the right unit, and the other with the left.)

Think I'll stick with the cable Khan comes with! I do have custom cables on my K10U and N4 though...

I don't blame you, its the nicest stock cable they have used, and like I said its an SPC Litz.

  7. scook94
Yeah, just hope I get on with the rigid/molded part of the cable that loops behind the ear. I don't have that on my custom cables.

The standard cable has that, even mine did, if its what I think you are talking about. A loop that's kind firm but yet no memory wire. Even the balanced cable for my K10's now has that.

I just tried my Khan with my s9plus and all I get is static. I know that there are issues with the iPhone is this a known issue with the s9 as well? I usually use my sp1000 nut wanted to watch a movie on net flix. They work with the s7 though.

    What would cause this issue??

I never get static with my S8+, but of course its an older phone, maybe reboot the phone then try again.

I got it to work it seems to be an issue with the output jack on the s9. If I put it in slowly you get the correct sound it seems like a grounding issue on the s9 or maybe the mic pole is shorting inside the phone. Anyway not an issue with the Khan just the phone.

Out of curiosity does anyone have an s9 plus that could test this as well?

My OG K10U and N4 had the memory wire, wasn't too keen on that especially for prolonged listening sessions.

I’ve heard that for the affected android phones, the static issue comes and goes with the apps you’re using - usually when you’re switching between listening to music and making phone calls.

    I have an s8+ & an s9+ (wifes phone)
    No noise with either phone

After browsing the Noble website repeatedly over time, I must say the artwork is very reminiscent of high end Maki-E Fountain Pen artwork (especially abalone and raden designs).

    EDIT: Post number 30000!! Wooo
