A few days hence and everything seems to have fallen into place again. I'm a physical burn-in skeptic - espeically where balanced armatures are cocnerned - but I'm a big beleiver in psychological burn-in. Warmth, for lack of a better word, seems to have increased as well.

With dating (auditioning) and marriage (purchase-through-to-getting properly acquainted) almost done it's time for the honeymoon, baby!!

You might find your experiences mirroring mine, especially if you have a good seal.

It's not that I feel underwhelmed...It's just that sometimes I feel the sound is too thin, too distant. I wouldn't know how to put it. How would you recognize a good from a bad seal, guys ?

They're custom. I don't think having a bad seal then. so it's probably my source which is thin and airy. (ak100 II)

You can certainly still get not a proper seal from CIEM and may need a refit if necessary.

It would be good if you could get to listen to a Mojo. Try and find somewhere that will give you a month's trial and just listen as much as you can.

I have to say the Mojo was the only thing that added anything of substance to without taking anything away from my Shure SE846s based on the brief auditions I've done with it. Certainly if it were more portable I'd be looking at getting one.

@John0405 you could also look at the oppo HA2-SE. WITHOUT bass boost it just boost the clarity and presentation. With the bass boost, it thumps but I feel like it shrinks the soundstage due to the warmth it suddenly gains. Portable as heck too

The new Opus#1S is rather warm, and "punchy".
