Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Thoughts are on my home town, friends family and other fellow Texans. I still don't know if the house that I grew up in was flooded, but reports indicate that it was.

Hehe, yeah, curious about those Mandarin tips as well. I've got a set on the way, but no idea when they will arrive.

These Mandarin tips are the real deal. The Katana sounds better than its ever has. The wide bores of the Katana make it difficult for me to get a good seal with silicon tips. But somehow with these Mandarin tips it's the best yet. The SpinFits are also an improvement over the stock silicons, but I lose the seal after a while of wearing them.

I got some Mandarin tips last week. So far they are the best tips I have used with my encores.

I have been using Spiral Dots but these give me a more secure seal.

I initially used Spin Fits but I felt they reduced bass too much although the highs were very airy and beautiful.

Comply tips T500s give a great seal but I lose too much space in the sound stage and the highs are muted for me.

I have largish ear canals and none of the stock tips work well for me but the Mandarins seem great.

Hey all,

I was thinking about selling my K10 customs for someone to re-shell. I know it's a service Noble offer. But is there a market for this, will they sell?

I have seen them for sale before for this reason and I am sure they must sell. Might take a while though and I have no idea on the price to look for.

Thanks. I fancy trying something else. Perhaps a pair of Noble Universals - Not sure yet.
Customs in general take a pretty good price hit on the resale market. I've seen prices for K10 listed at a pretty wide range between $700 and $900.

Cool, and to be expected :smile_phones:

I have created a for-sale thread so will have to see.

Presumably Noble Audio provide the new user with their own Peli style case? This one has my name stamped on.

Thanks,

Joe

Incorrect, as the sale of merchandise/tangible product, is between the original owner and the third party buying the product.

Noble is providing a service (OTS / re-shell). Further more, to clarify OTS is not offered for CIEMs built in 2017.

See FAQ for more details https://nobleaudio.com/en/support/faq/

Any concerns about your OTS policy impacting new ciem sales? Just wondering, given customers penchant for upgrading or buying new models. Thanks!

Mine were built early 2015, so that's no problem.

Let's hope users taking advantage of the OTS don't have their shipping box damaged / crushed in transit - Given that they could be crafted and returned to the customer without a Peli case.

The potential buyer is welcome to mine. If having my name on it doesn't disgruntle them too much.

No, as the sales data for OTS indicated that it wasn't an option that was in high demand.

If the CIEMs are sent to the lab with their original pelican case, naturally we ship the CIEMs back in the original box. The details of the items involved in the sale is between the original owner and the second hand buyer, we have nothing to do with the details, we just provide a OTS.

And a new pelican case size 1010 retails for under $10 depending on the color you choose on amazon.

Cheers.
