Hello, so literally just unpacked my dt 990 250 ohm pro headphones and within literally less than 30 minutes the left driver just went dead at low level volumn and now only my right driver works. I'm so angry right now, im in japan so i've waited well over a month for these and they just stopped working out the box practically. Returning them isnt an option for me right now only self repair or someone else out here i look towards fixing my new cans. I opened up the left driver cup and the contacts seem to be fine nothing looks loose or touching where it shouldnt from what i can tell. I even tried on different devices and amps/dacs to no avail. Is someone possibly able to help me out with this? All help is extremely appreciated!

That sucks.  I would contact seller. Or Manufacturer, and not tamper with anything.
 
Worst case, take to audio shop if you can't return and see if they can order you something. I saw drivers before on ebay for 80-100 U.S
 
You might have to wait, but thats the way it goes sometimes.
 
Its a risk to buy from so far away, they don't sell Beyer in Japan?
 
You should take photos and show, b/c someone might be able to help.
