Hi,

Purely on sound quality (not battery life, proximity, etc), how does NFC compare with the various BT flavors when "paired" with wireless speakers? I understand that NFC has a maximum speed of 400 Kbps and BT >1 Mbps (I don't know which flavor) and would this make a difference when playing back MP3 and FLAC music files?

Thanks.

NFC is not designed for what you want. Its activation field is roughly 10 cm / 3 inches.

The whole point of NFC, near field communication of i'm not mistaken, is to transfer some data at a very short distance. Its goal is not to stream music on a network.

To play music you will need Bluetooth. NFC is only ever useful to pair your headphone or sound system (with NFC capabilities) with your smartphone that will then use Bluetooth to stream music.

My Sony A15's NFC works with the Creative Technology Muvo Mini wireless speakers but not the UE Boom. For the latter, I have to use good old BT.
