I have had JVC marshmellows for about 6 months now and I think I'm due for an upgrade. What I'm looking for is a little more controlled bass, I like the amount of bass my 'mellows have, but it is a little bloated sometimes.
side note of my JVCs : I removed the wax guards, replaced the tips with short silicones, and shotened the sound tube about a millimeter, which seemed to tighten up the bass a bit from stock.
Also an improvement in the highs and overall detail would be a bonus. I really like the 'in my head' sound that IEMs give when listening to technical death metal , but speed is a must to not have things get out of control. My budget is around $200, but if there is a recommendation that just has to be included over that... I might have to save a bit longer.
