Unboxing the SR-009...

* The headphone rest inside an exquisite wooden box, providing moisture protection and a luxury feel.

* It wraps around by firm molded foam.

* Here it comes...

* Aluminum earcup, smooth silver finished.

 * A closer look at the earcup.

 * Soft genuine sheep skin earpad.

  * Large, soft headband.

* The SR-009 might look heavy but it is light and very comfortable to wear. It merely create pressure on ears and head.

Brief listening notes on the latest revision of WES:
At first, the most striking feel is its realistic sound. Dense high-resolution packs much of the detail. It is tonally balanced thorughout entire audio frequency range. There is no noticeticable addictive to tremble and bass, and the mid range is warm and full. The SR-009 certainly is the best headphone Stax made to date.

A detailed review will be available here. Please check back again.

As it is written, they are matching extension cables (for the SR-507 as well, I guess since it also uses this hybrid cable)

:shock:
250$ and 450$ for extension cables...........
:shock:

I thought 100$ was awful for the other Stax extension cable.

Well, you want to keep that HV contained...

Besides if you let one of those "boutique" places make a 'stat extension cable they'll probably braid it or something stupid.
