I'm pretty sure I opened up a whole pandora's box into a new money sucking hobby. Maybe even bit off more than I can chew, as I haven't even decided which IEM to buy yet, and I've already decided I need to buy an amp, too.
I was introduced to this world a few years ago by the Shure E2c's, and was honestly pretty dissapointed in the long run for the money. This kind of burned me a bit and I bought some Sony EX71's that were comfortable, cheap, and easy to listen to. I've mainly been using them for running and working out and the insulation has gotten torn up. So what began as a trip to Amazon to snag some $30 EX81s, I wound up being reminded how much I enjoy listening to music and how I've been selling my ears short, and that I shouldn't have given up at the Shure's. So I've spent the past week on here and various other pages seeking out some new IEMs, and now, a whole damn portable setup. My wallet will hate me, but my ears will love me.
The mSEED Spirit looks really good. Especially for the money. I've seen nothing but amazing praise for the Tomahawk, and its aesthetics are incredibly sweet, but I really don't want to drop 300 bucks on an amp when I still have yet to purchase my IEMs, and will also need a decent interconnector for my Nano. I've seen great things said about the Xin SuperMicro for a little more than the mSEED, but I've also heard it takes a long time to ship and working with them is a bit of a hassle. mSEED's site looks far more inviting and just seems like less of a hassle to work with.
Based on what I've read, both the mSEED and SuperMicro are worthy products. What I'm most unsure about is the interconnector.
What's a good interconnector for use with a 2nd gen Nano? Does it matter? I would assume just about anything with a dock connector would technically work, but what would be BEST?
Thanks
