ok. I currently have Oppo DV-970HD (Rotel RC-1070, Outlaw Monoblocks, and Polk LSI9s) I am looking for a better sound and was thinking about upgrading my CDP. However, I must admit that i did not hear much difference while i was listening to Rotel RCD-1072, equally priced NAD ($500-$600) and Cambridge Audio.

I am looking at Chinese brands, mostly tube players and wondering if i will ever hear the difference of my Oppo and a $500, $600 dollar Chinese tube player.

Does anyone have MHZS CD66 or CD88 ? and are the Hong Kong sellers on ebay legit ? any experience with them?

I think it eminently posible that you may hear a difference with a tubed CD player i.e for the 88

Frequency Response: 20Hz~20KHz (+/-5dB)

Most CD players hit +/- 0.5db over that range so what you may be getting is a somewhat different sound.
