Hi,
Just recently I purchased an iPod and a set of Shure E2C's, they sounded nice but too bassey so I returned them and bought the E3C's. So far they are much better but it sounds like the highs are missing, or slightly toned down. Compared to my Sony MDR-V6 headphones, running straight from the iPod unamped, the Sony's sound much brighter. In both cases the iPod EQ was set to off, and the files playing were encoded at 192kbps MP3 files.
So I wanted to ask, is my hearing a bit swayed for the V6 headphones? Going with the E4Cs, would they provide the "missing" highs? I only had the E3C's for less than a week and heard they might need to be broken in so I'll keep them for a while longer.
Thanks,
Rob
