Hi all,i have got an iriver ihp140 & looking for an amp to run on it.Could you have a look at this http://www.evilfire.com/ and tell me what you all think.I have also been looking at Headsave's Mint-vibe,but i am in England and not sure about delivery charges/customs import tax (V.A.T) If anyone in England can advise me about where to buy i would be grateful

Cheers
Ian

(p.s i am trying very hard to ignore all posts on headphones esp MS-1's)

Though you are trying not to bring this up, I have to ask: What headphones do you have? Not all headphones benefit from an amp. Amps are not beneficial to headphones on the lower end of the market, so unless you have a nice pair of headphones skip the amp and save up for a new pair of headphones.

You should definitely think about getting new headphones before an amp, amps don't even come into play at that range. I made that mistake, buying an amp when all I had were some KSC-35s, and it didn't make one difference.

About amping the iriver buds. They will improve very nicely. Strange thing about those buds is that they improve MUCH more with amping than my MS-1s (using a MINT amp) Still, MS-1s unamped are a lot better than buds amped.

If you buy something from the US or Canada etc. you can always ask if they would value it down for you. That is illegal so not everyone will say yes but if you don't have a problem with it it can't hurt to ask. (I think it's wrong of course

) I know headsave has very reasonable shipping charges. A while back it was $10 to the Netherlands.

Definitely...headphones first. Run from those stock buds as quick as you can.
