I've narrowed my choice down to pa2v2 or little dot micro+ after doing some research on the forums. I mainly chose these two due to their low entry level prices and seemingly OK quality. Any advice? Also i'm very curious about the fiio products, which have gotten very positive reviews on these forums, but still I am uncertain of their true merit when compared to pa2v2 or LDM+... As you can see I'm very unsure, so thanks for any help

Don't know about the PA2V2, but LDM+ is a waste of money. You'll be better off with well built cmoy instead of LDM+.

ClieOS,

what is your experience with the PA2V2 and the many variations that have come after or were based on the PA2V2?

I'm really considering a cmoy based headphone amplifier.

pa2v2 is an excellent entry level amp. kinda warm and bass-heavy but overall, it is a good amp. i used to have it and remember it pushing hd580 and dt990 to good levels. plus, gary's service is just amazing. i bought a used pa2v2 and had gary to change the gain for me. i simply sent it to him, he changed the gain and sent it back to me for free of charge, and he even covered the shipping cost from canada to the US. the whole procedure took less than 10 days.
LDM+ is CRAP! i love all the other LD products but LDM+ was CRAP.
