Hey guys, first off let me say this is a great site with tons of great info, made better by what seems like a friendly group of individuals. I feel like that bumble bee in the Blind Melon video when I found this place. Other people who are into headphones? Awesome!

So my question has to do with amps...
I'm using Senn HD-600's and love them. Curently I'm running them through a Grado RA-1 that I picked up for a steal. (BTW the source is a Rega Planet DH labs interconnects)Liek the amp but have nothign to compare it to. Seems very uncolored and detailed.
So anyways I'm looking for another amp fo rmy main system in the living room. Its a very revealing system (considering it uses speakers), Bryston electronics and an Adcom GCD-750 CD with balanced outs. So I'm looking to spend about $500 or so (used or new). Portable or non? Well I have the Grado already so I suppose non potable...I'm not into the tone controls or filters, I don''t think at least, and am lookign for an accurate detailed sound, controlled bass, with a nice liquidity in the mids. Stuff I 'm sure that isn't unique to me. Any recs?

Thanks so much for any help guys/gals!

The RA-1 does sound well with the 600/580 to my ears.

A nice compliment to this would be to try some tubes.
An earmax for about $550 would be very nice and should have little problem driving the 600s.

I've been warned that the only Earmax worth owning is the Pro.

I would agree if he was trying to drive low imp cans like grados.
The regular earmax has received good pro reviews in the past.
(I think that I posted one a while back by Ken Kessler)
The 600 should be an easy load for it.
