First Shure drops a bombshell. Now, good old Senny's dropped the HD800s! And here I am just one week after getting my HD800.
 
Looks to be a fun meet next year.

Hang on to those for a while. Who knows? Whatever damping material they said they might become available to us as spare parts. From the looks of things and what's said in the videos and posts, the only difference is the colour and damping material (which changes the sound, obviously.).

Not a big fan of the color (I like how the standard silver HD800 matches my silver HDVA 600), and kinda skeptical on what kind of deal we can get here with Billy not handling CL anymore...

There are still deals to be had a CL as far as I'm aware. Just mention the Head-Fi forum.
Unfortunately some brands seem to be harder to get than they used to though.
