After 3 weeks of using the OPA627BM I can admit that this combination is absolutely the best in terms of SQ: level of details, instrument separation, dynamic, bass quality.
On the other hand someone can consider it too audiophilistic

What's your battery life? 
I think I have to change my transport from otg to an optical output to free a micro usb port of Vantam and use a powerbank instead))
What type of a transport do you use if any? I will be switching to Ak100II.

It sits on the 3.5 mm together with optical in / line in. I think it is SE.

404 is one of the best portable out there. I still have my 395

I'm sitting on the balance for years. So I vote for the balanced output ))
It's very interesting how they sound together.
