I just got myself a new pair of Sennheiser 650's, I also have a pair of 590's which so far I'm liking the 650's more every minute.

At the moment, I have the 650's connected to my SBLive X-Fi Platinum in which I turned all the enhancements off. It's the same way I listened to the 590's before. I found the bass is more defined with the 650's, more open, and very natural sounding.

I have a Rega Ear headphone amp which I don't have right at the moment, buddy of mine has it for his audition. I know when I hooked up the 590's to the headphone amp, it goes deeper and overall sound is richer. I don't know what I can expect when I hook it up to the 650's.

Are there any users using computer based sound cards? I'm wondering about the RME cards as well as the new AuzenTech Prelude, they all seem to be a good candidate. Or even an amp upgrade for example, what would be a good match for the 650's.

Appreciate your response.

Oh, and there are many topics here that are very hard to miss about great matching amps for the HD650's. Not hard to find at all! Just search around and you should find your gem! Oh, and you have to determine how much you're willing to spend. IMO, a budget of about $300 or more can start you off real good with your HD650's and I don't really recommend using portable gear with it (some may disagree but that's how I feel).

If I were you, I'd try to create a nice dedicated audio setup for the HD 650. As far as I know (and probably ever will), no computer sound card can hold a candle to many decent setups here.

Just make sure not to use a portable amp with the HD 650, like Xoen said.

Well, the Lisa III and the iQube are exceptions, from what I read about them.
