It's a niche product. It would be interesting to know the answer.

I love mine and the only reason I am selling it is because it forced me to upgrade my dac to a weiss dac501 + v281 for amp and I don't use it too often anymore. But the thing will make you wish any of your daps sounded this good.

I love mine. I am pleased that I bought it. It looks beautiful and sounds even better. For headphones across my entire range of over 50, it makes each headphone I’ve tried sound better than on anything else, except perhaps the Chord Hugo 2 for a few of those headphones. I just wish there were more active discussion of this product. Having bought it and the Apple Vision Pro at sort of the same time, I find in both cases we have an exceptionally expensive product with exceptional potential capability, but, in both cases, needing some expected upgrades in variety of applications or capabilities, for which interest has died away.

No, not bugs. But rather, I would say, unfulfilled expectations. There are, of course, the limitations common to all LoToo DAPs, such as the inability to sort by song genre.

However, what I am referring to is the promise, as indicated by menu entries and early LoToo publicity, of Roon compatibility, and of LoToo’s own high-speed transfer wireless network, called LT TP. If and when this box does run streaming, it will be unbeatable!

But there has not been a software update since last January. Granted, that last software update was marvelous, and that it added Apple Play capability! But there is a bit-rate limitation on what you can do with Apple play in a wireless mode.

“ReleasING,” but not ReleasED, at least to my knowledge. It will give you 1,500 kb/sec, vs. the 660kb/sec normal BT bit rate, but that only gets you up to standard Redbook CD bitrates (44.1K 16-bit 2channels sample/sec, or 48K 24-bit channels at best), not to HD rates. That is the LTTP to which I referred.

still has bugs?
I won’t go into too much detail, but I’ll give one example. This device has Wi-Fi and was advertised as a streamer, Roon Ready, and AirPlay compatible. However, after more than a year, AirPlay is the only streaming feature that actually works. Furthermore, every time you turn on the Mjölnir, you have to manually go into settings and select your Wi-Fi network. A proper “streamer” should connect to a known network automatically. If I didn’t know the brand and company, I’d think it was a scam.

It looks like the cathegorie of SUPER-DAPs is growing. Mjolnir competitors are coming.... Indeed, now we have :

1 - Cayin CA-8's prototype (with retractable vacum tubes)

2 - IBasso's 18th anniversary all-in-one transportable DAC/Amp

Those real cayin tubes look very interesting. Hope price will be at a reasonable level. Also interested in Ibasso. I’ll probably get the cheaper one of the two

Im with you on that...the mega-dap transportable arms race is in full swing...thing is tho, I want one of these--but if they price out at the same as the Lotoo Molinir, its gonna be something else.

Me too. Not gonna spend 6000-8000 on a transportable DAP. I do like that they will have streaming.
