I tried to use my SPKM as an USB source and it worked well with my Chord Mojo (with result that now I consider the Mojo pleasant low res) but I had now success when I tried to connect to my Devialet 250 Pro via USB (USB works with the Devialet well with my Innuos Zenith II). I used even the same cable with an USB-c to A adapter. What is wrong?

I also experience compatibility issues with my SP1000m G when connecting to my laptop (USB 3.0) with the supplied cable and my desktop headphone amp (Sony TAZH-1ES) via USB c - micro cable to walkman input.

Works fine with USB 2.0 though.

Not sure if my issue is related to yours.

I have issues when connecting the AK by usb to my dac: there is periodic disconnection. No problems when connecting to the dac using optical. I think there is a software problem with the AK.

I wonder if Astell & Kern could comment on the USB compatibility issues highlighted in the last 3 posts?

I would be also be obliged if A&K could clarify if SP1000 and SP1000m variants are compatible with USB 3.0 as manual on SP1000m indicates 2.0 only whereas website indicates 3.0 also.

Firmware is 1.17CN. not sure about previous versions.
DAC is Denafrips Terminator.

This is strange as my SP1000m gold (UK purchase via authorised dealer) does not like USB 3.0 but is ok with v 2.0. I've tried on 2 different laptops with v 3.0 with same outcome.

The sucessful connection to my Sony desktop is also intermittent via a quality cable (to the walkman/ micro usb).

Can you please advise?

Are you directly connected to the laptop or are you plugged into a USB hub.that is connected to the laptop?

I would also suggest trying a different USB port if possible and a different cable.

Connection is via the supplied A&k cable direct to my laptop. Cable is fine as charges ok via wall adaptor and when plugged into said laptop.

Both usb 3.0 ports do not recognize the device and tried with another cable with the same negative response.

The usb ports are fine and accepts my old AK70mki no problems.

As I said in my post I tried to use it as a source for my DACs: Mojo worked but Devialet not

To exit the app just push the home button on the bottom of the screen. You can close the app via the pulldown menu after you are out of the app. This will completely shut down the app.

I can't say much as this is my first AK for a long time. Compared to my previous player which is the onkyo its definitely better overall. But having said that, I have not even clocked 2h on the player.
