Is there any chance of Roon coming to any of the Astell&Kern AK DAPS?
I reached out a few times last week after @Progisus asked to get an update re: Roon and have not received one. I know we submitted our latest build for testing the 3rd week of August, along with a few extra players for testing that were requested. As of the last week of September, we were told they had not begun testing yet and should start soon. I am hoping to get an update this week and will share if there is more info available.
@JasonNYC Can you update us about the change to browsing by artist (i.e. able to see list of albums instead of songs)?
Tentatively scheduled to be rolled out this week via firmware update on KANN CUBE, with other players following soon after. Waiting to get final schedule and will share once I have it.
I have not seen the update, but was told you can collapse and expand the list to show songs under the albums or just the albums themselves.
sounds great, an often asked request comes true, now sorted by year and this point is also, at least to my satisfaction, solved.
@JasonNYC The option to disable the same song being added many times in the same playlist should come back!

Are others still having issues with Amazon Music HD and their SP1000/1000m? I know that when it first launched there was an issue on amazon’s end, but that several folks reported it resolved after an update. I am updated to the latest version (version 16.4.5) on my SP1000m and while the app opens and navigates fine, when I click to play something, I just get the loading symbol endlessly circling and the app never plays anything.
Are others still having this issue? I remember @JasonNYC said that originally there was an issue with Amazon’s app and how it interacted with the processor in the SP1000m, but thought this was resolved. If others have gotten it to work, do you have any suggestions? I have closed and reopened the app, uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and restarted my dap, all to no avail.
We issued a fix for the SP2000 in the recent firmware update. The update for the SP1000/1000M will be coming in early December.
Hi, I'm wondering how is the new SA700 sounds like compare to SP1000m gold version. I'd compared sp1000m gold with sr15, but I can hardly heard the difference. sp1000m gold has a bit wider soundstage, more precise, and a bit warmer, but still not worth for the price for me. Alan
The 1000M has way better treble and a much more textured midrange. More detail, bigger soundstage, more clarity
What IEM were you driving?
I use akg k3003i and k812.
do i need to run in 1000m for more hours to make it sounds better? I know wm1z needs to break in at least for 200 hours, but I only run my 1000m for about 100 hours.
