I think, I have a problem with 400GB Sandisk card. The DAP has this message after booting up: IMG_6553.JPG
The files play fine after I click OK or wait.
No messages when the card is not in the player.
I did the factory reset and the problem still there.

Do you still receive that message after booting up if the card is removed? If you use a different capacity card, do you get that message? What firmware are you using?

Those scratches/dents would annoy me. Do you use a case?

No message then the card is removed.
I didn't try different capacity card yet.
    I use latest 1.06CM firmware.

What file format are you using for the card? We recommend using FAT32 for best results.

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to narrow down what your issue may be.

Just tried 200GB sandisk MSDC and I didn't have any messages. Works fine. It's definitely 400GB card problem.

Can you explain why you regret buying the Cu versus the SS? I'm deciding between the two, so your insights will help me.

The card formatted in exFAT. I will reformat it over the weekend and let you know the outcome.

Every Addiction has good excuses but i after just spending nearly $10K for a pocket stereo i hardly can justify even that i guess iam not going there and will just keep enjoying the music itself.

Can you let us know how much space is left after reformat in Fat 32?

    393.87GB available.

That is awesome, the exFAT format comes with 366 gb only.

There is no capacity difference between format types. The difference is Mac versus Windows. Mac uses decimal which makes the capacity look bigger but the files are also bigger. Windows and Android use hexadecimal so the capacity looks smaller but files are also smaller. You get exactly the same amount of files between the two number systems. Drive manufacturers also use decimal so they make their drives look bigger.

No error message after I format to Fat 32.
