hey guys, i'm new here and can't wait to start learning off of this forum!
 
i need help deciding between the
 
AKG K702
 
 
Beyerdynamic DT990 600 ohm
 
 
Sennheiser HD650
 
 
Or is there something else I should look into?
 
my budget is up to $350.
 
Something that can do it all. I listen to mainly everything...I have an AMP and everything ready.
 
Which do you prefer? I like a large sound stage and [size=11pt]extraordinary[/size] detail...bass too. I wouldn't like headphones with bass that is WAAAAY too flat...at least bass that's recognizable and acceptable. I would also like the headphones to sound ELECTRIFYING like the most electrifying man in sports entertainment!

Bass: DT990 wins out of the 3.
 
Sound stage: this is a tough call...somebody else with more knowledge and experience with these two headphones (k702, hd650) should answer this; if anything, i'd say the akg k702.
 
detail: k702 in my opinion
 
 
this is quite a tough call...at least for me. if anything, i'd go with the k702 in that situation...but then again, this is a big call.

For detail and soundstage the K702's win and for bass the DT990's win. 
 
I am currently set with my K702's.They have a huge soundstage, fantastic detail and, if properly amped, can deliver adequate bass. Without a good amp the bass in the K702's quickly fades away.

I actually liked the HD650 most out of the 3 (I own the HD650, tried the others at Can Jam). It has a great soundstage and sounds great. There is even some crazy synergy between the HD650 and the LISA III.

How is the DT880 compared to DT990? Less or more bass?
