After the SR-507, then followed by the SR-407, SR-307, and SR-207, Stax has topped off the new-model line up with what looks like the replacement to the Omega2 headphone! I joked with my friend who worships his Omega 2: “Perhaps the Stax boss has listened to the Edition 10 and feels his current flagship to be inferior”.

 
I hope it's a real one, anyway the headphones look really better than the old Omega 2 IMHO.

Well, it's not on the 'normal' headphone board, not everyone checks the high end one.

Hopefully they sound as good as they look. I really hope these start showing up at meets soon so I can give them a go.

Nice looking pair of cans! I'll be very interested to check them out, but it'll take something special to get me to part with the O2, Mk. Is.

Hopefully, they'll be an improvement over the O2Mk1s as opposed to the Mk2s.  I've always thought the 2s to be too "dark" for an electrostat.  It'll be interesting to compare for sure, but I'm also with Uncle Erik on this one.
