hi, im looking for new speakers and here's what im thinking about (theyre easily aviable in my country) :
microlab x3 - i dont know why arnt there any reviews of them.
microlab 6c
audioengine a2+

my budget is not so high so i pref to go with something with a price range of the 6c/x3,but if the a2 is such a huge difference i can make the sacrifice.

btw my room is pretty small but i can place each speaker like 0.5/1m away from me.

those are my speakers right now:

would i feel a huge difference?

I have the Audioengine a2 speakers.  Don´t spect any bass similar to your Altec-Lansing 6,5´´ subwoofer´s.  Other frequencies runs quite well !

If you don't mind the size, I'm currently using Edifier Studio 7 (0 bass, +6 treble) paired with Govibe Magnum (max bass, mid gain, USB) and it sounds similar to Westone 4 with more bass. If you had auditioned the W4 then this sounds incredibly similar. The price is about US$240 so it's within your budget.

The songs that sounds identical or better than W4 (these are the one's I remember and reconfirmed before replying your post, source is FLAC unless specified, listened at avg 80db [Decibel 10th app on iOS]);
Adios Ayer by José Padilla
Blue by The Seatbelts
Cab Driver by Daryl Hall
Chambermaid Swing by Parov Stelar
Clair De Lune by Claude Debussy
Duality by Slipknot
Fallin' by Zhiend
Getting to Know You by Spazzkid  (MP3 at 320kbps)
Guarded by Disturbed
Harvest by (K)NoW_NAME
Hotel California by Eagles
May It Be by Enya
Mirror Maru by Cashmere Cat  (MP3 at 320kbps)
Praise You by Fatboy Slim
Shine A Light (Flight Facilities Remix) by The C90s  (MP3 at 320kbps)
Spies by Coldplay
Whispy by Hyleo & Ollygon (MP3 at 320kbps)

However there are 2 issue, the speakers need to be placed 5 ft apart and angled to face your ears. And the obvious... it's huge...
