Is there any way to purchase those silicone dust plugs that come included with the player? or anyone with both stock ones willing to sell? i really like the Sony plugs, tried 2 off-chinese brand and not the same. Thanks.

does zx507 walkman standard music app read .wv file on new FW? A WV file is an audio file compressed using WavPack Hybrid Lossless Compression.
only foobar plays it.

I find the ZX507 very sensitive to volume changes. At a certain volume dynamics are preserved and sound is consistent and smooth. I don’t think it plays well at higher volumes - in my experience above 85, which is a shame because I find I can’t really rock out. At higher volumes the sound becomes stressed and inconsistent and a bit shouty. I find this is also the case with lower vs higher gain. Sound much more relaxed in lower gain. In my experience this player is very revealing and has a good level of detail however I can “hear it” but I can’t “feel it” at higher volumes when it comes to impact delivery, difficult to describe. Anyone else have this experience?
Could also be your IEM's or whatever you listen with. a lot of drivers fall apart at high volumes. for example, the IE300 remains consistent for me. some other IEMs i have become harsh.

IS there a comparison of how much quieter the eu model is about a percent less than the asia model?

If, for example, the eu model volume is 80, is the asia model 55-60 enough?

I think it's not about just a volume.
it's about how wide range of frequencies are powered.
for instance. zx507 (non eu) can make hd 820 very loud via 4.4
however. sub bass are underpowered compares to a proper dac/amp.
200 mW and 50 mW in 16 ohm for 4 4 and 3.5mm respectively is already not much.
thus I dont think u should go away with further compromises.
I listen my xba z5 on 20-60 at home via 4.4.
and up to 80-110 on the street with lifted low fr section to compensate the background low fr noise from vehicles etc.

It seems like that Amazon Music supports now bit Perfect playback!
And my ZX507 can playback now up to 192kHz without turning on "HighRes Streaming" in the Settings!

The only way to confirm this would be to check it via ADB.

I heard about Amazon Music saying it can play bit-perfect audio while it was actually not doing that.

Hi, I think it really depends on your IEMs or headphones. I use the Sony MDR1AM2 with a very low impedance. I have the EU model and normally I listen to a volume between 68 and 75. only in very exceptional cases louder....

so for headphones with low impedance I would say the EU system is fine

I have seen confusing behavior with the new AM version and external DACs. The DAC always stays at 192 kHz no matter what AM reports as the device and bitrate. No idea what it is actually doing.

~98 dB/mW is not very low)))
70-80 is.
