How would I go about mixing in another line in / source as what's coming out of my nw-zx507? I'd like to be able to hear what goes on in the video game and listen to music.
Also I'd like to record myself singing and hear myself at the same time. I also have a FiiO Q5s and a pair of Sennheiser HD660s open backs.

The Boya BY-DM100 USB-C microphone does not appear to be compatible with the ZX507. A shame.

Will try a few more recording apps and will update if any change.

Yes. I use a Zoom IQ on my iPhone, but with the 507 not having analog-out thru USB, I’m unsure an external microphone will work...the internal mic is of little value (to me).

Just received a unit from Amazon in Japan - and as many already have described the volume output is a on whole different level compared to the eu units.
Got the silver model - my eu one was black. Both very nice and good sound. Right now I’m running the Sennheiser HD 660s and 820 from them.

To my ears it seems that this 2.01.00 has reverted back to the bass of 1.2x firmware.

No more treble issues that I have mentioned earlier with the 2.00.05.

Because it's an audio product and Sony is trying to improve it's sound quality through updates? Is that not possible?

Just like a PlayStation console, router, smartphone, Tesla or any other product out there. Companies change/improve/cost down their product formulation all the time. Some inform customers through change in packaging or change logs. some don't. There isn't a clear guideline or regulation on what they need to tell or explain.

Is there any difference between my laptop and my NW-ZX507 if I'm using usb out to an AMP/DAC? As far as sound quality is concerned here.

One of the good things about changing the model to Xperia 1 II is the revival of the earphone jack!

If that happens, you might want to compare. With Streaming Walkman ZX507.

This time, I compared it with headphones. The headphones used are Yamaha's HPH-MP8.

As a result, ZX507 is sent. The sound of ZX507 was smoother and more spacious. But Xperia is also a great fight. This is a good sound that makes you think that you can use a smartphone.

I noticed a difference in the sound, i think, anyways it also seems to load faster when turning on.
