someone has tested them? Have information about it? I've been looking for the Head-Fi forums and can not find any information. Were the EX310 and EX510 substitutes?

I bought a pair of EX650 from Yodobashi Camera in Osaka for 6900 yen. I use them with a Sony Xperia smartphone listening to a range of pop and rock music. Let's say Frank Zappa to Kyary Pamyu Pamyu :)

They are lightweight and comfortable and deliver gorgeous, detailed, focussed stereo sound. I am very happy with them. I also listen to a lot of speech podcasts and they are joy to use for that as well.

My only regret is that I couldn't find a store selling the "AP" version with the microphone and smartphone control button.

Did you see what I wrote above?

Yeah, I've seen. But you have talked about the EX650, not EX450 too.. I'v read that there is a difference in sound between them, do you?
Can you comparate the EX650 with other IEM that you have?

I'm in trouble cause I want to buy the Sony XBA-1 ore the EX450..

I quickly tried the EX450's too. They were also really good. I bought the EX650's because they were within the budget I had allowed myself but I think I would have been quite happy with the EX450.

I have not had the opportunity to sample either model, because my local sony stores no longer put out demo units for these earphones... but I've been planning to buy one, so I've read a lot of impressions on the web.

A lot of Japanese discussion mentioned that the 450/650 sound very different from the 310/510. The 450/650 have a lot more bass. The 650 is very different from the 510. By description, I think it's the same kind of EDM-friendly bass that is Sony's new "signature sound" right now, from the MDR-1/10 to the XBA-H3.

Another common comment is that the 650 have far more treble than the 450. The 450 also sounds competent, but is a very typical, small-soundstage sony affair.

There is a chinese review on the EX650 with some fairly serious testing: http://www.soomal.com/doc/10100004829.htm
The reviewer found it way too bassy, but says the driver quality isn't bad, and recommends that you should use it with bass-reducing EQ. In fact, they suggest that you should not buy if your source has no EQ.

Ardian, between the XBA-1 and the EX450, the EX450 should have much more bass, while the XBA-1 should sound more delicate, refined.

Ok so I got my xb90's, loving them, the bass and soundstage is so awesome, with that being said I want the opposite as well, I know people recommend the ex600/7500/1000 line but they are expensive and I am not looking for that type of fit, there is the re400 but I kinda wanna stay sony, any recommendations?

PS: I have the xba30, its great but not as balanced as I want, I want nuetral sounding.

I just got the 650's yesterday and did a 24 hour burn in. I can say these sound good and it is along the lines of the H series in sound but I find the 650's livelier and the bass is boomier. Still not bad though. Vocals are quite forward and balances out well but it is still a bass and treble focused. Happy with the purchase and sound from these.
