Just now listening to this new release and surprised nobody mentioned it yet. It is nice combination of new studio versions of unreleased tunes in their live act and live versions of various "hits". It sounds good although I just started listening after bouncing around to a few tracks to get a sense of it. Nice to have something new and I will probably try to pick this up tonight. I just wish there were SACDs of their stuff.
Track listing:
1. Salka
2. Hljómalind
3. Í Gær
4. Von
5. Hafsól
6. Samskeyti [Live]
7. Starálfur [Live]
8. Voka [Live]
9. Ágætis Byrjun [Live]
10. Heysátan [Live]
11. Von [Live]
Album review from Rhapsody:
"Two years on from 2005's Takk, Iceland's biggest band issues a double-EP set destined to send its more reverent fans into orbit. Heim ("home," if your Icelandic is a tad rusty) features acoustic live versions of some of their Mum/Cocteau Twins-esque "hits," which is nice, but Hvarf ("disappeared" or "haven") is the mother lode, containing never-before-recorded songs from their live act. One such show in the companion film to this package, Heima, finds the band live in a disused fish factory in the icy wastes of Djupavik. We're not making this up."
