The wireless projection must be turn off and then on every time when start EM5. When the wireless projection operated for some time, may be more than 2 hours, there's no response when push the EM5 golden button, either aiming for waking up the screen or wanna to turn off EM5. Anyone experience similar situation? Hopefully there'll be an App to control EM5 instead of wireless projection.

Same experience, little annoying, because of this wireless projection control is not meaningful.

I’m quite interested in this device. I saw the EM5 being demoed and I am interested in the EA5 for the living room. Do you think these would be able to drive a pair of Wharfedale Linton 85 speakers at reasonable levels in a normal sized living room? If so, it’d make a great do-it-all machine.

Sorry, my experience with speakers is super-limited. I've found on the net that these speakers have recommended amplifier power of 25-200 Watts, so EA5 fits into minimum requirements but is far from the top of recommended power. My assumption is that they'll need more power to show the full potential

I have a Shanling EM 5 and a Cayin CS55a (tube amp) , and want to buy Wharfedale Linton 85 speakers to complete my basic setup. I doubt that Shanling EA 5 have enought power to move those speakers to your expectations. I really recommened to look some tube amps or solid state amps to match to that Lintons.

I think EA5 would be bit limiting for these speakers. But of course people differ in their opinions what amount of power is needed.

But if you wait a bit, we might have something bit more powerful, that would make for a better pairing to your speakers

I will just say, if you like concept of EA5, just wants a bit more power, it would be perfect.

I’m very intrigued! I’m going to put something together at the end of the year so if there’s an announcement by that time I may hold off. I really do like the concept otherwise.
